Although the Samsung S3 has been on the market for a few months now I thought it would only appropriate to carry out my own personal review on some of the top features of this phone since I’ve been using it. Coming from an iPhone phone history this was my first android phone. Having been really happy with the usability and technological innovation in the iPhone I had extremely high expectations.
First Impressions
Upon first impressions the Samsung S3 does feel like a large phone when compared to the iPhone primarily due to the increase in screen size, although it is in fact slimmer and feels slightly lighter. The case although a little more plasticy than the iPhone I was used to did have a quality look to it.
Screen
The 4.8 inch super Amoled screen is spectacular. The screen is crisp, bright and so vibrant making viewing pictures and video an amazing experience on this phone. This alone is my favorite feature of the S3.
Software
Having been used to the usability of the Apple IOS I was reluctant to switch but the customisability of the Android platform makes for an intuitive and in my opinion more of an advanced mobile phone platform. A great selection of apps had me personalising my device in no time.
Battery
I thought it would only be fair to talk about some of the negatives I found with the S3 the main one being the Battery life. When you’re using multiple apps and watching videos across WIFI regularly it really does drain that battery quickly unfortunately, perhaps one of the downsides of the larger and brighter screen. However due to the fact I now have a spare battery with desktop charger I can easily swap the battery for a fresh one in no time at all.
More coming soon..
